The wonderful thing about January is that it is the beginning of a new year, and it represents an opportunity for all of us to resolve to make our lives and ourselves better than ever. With the new year comes many resolutions, some deep and meaningful and others just full of fun. When making this year’s resolutions, do not forget to add a few beauty routines that will keep you looking and feeling your best throughout 2019. Here are a few ideas to help get you started:
Resolve to treat yourself to a long soak in a warm bath, at least once a week to unwind from the ordeals of everyday life. Make it a luxurious experience by using your favorite bath salts or foaming bath oil. Try CHANEL COCO MADEMOISELLE Foaming Bath Gel, which produces a rich, creamy foam that gently cleanses the skin, leaving it delicately fragranced.
Resolve to exfoliate your entire body at least once every week with a lush and aromatic scrub that clears the pores, lifts dead skin cells and polishes the skin to a youthful radiance. Try GINGER BODY SCRUB Smoothing Body Buffer to remove all traces of roughness from every inch of your body and leave skin positively glowing.
Resolve to remove makeup every night. Use a makeup remover or cleanser instead of drying soaps for face makeup and a gentle eye makeup remover for mascara and eyeliner. Try Kiehl’s Supremely Gentle Eye Makeup Remover. This eye makeup remover takes off makeup in seconds, and it’s even ophthalmologist tested.
Resolve to keep hair shiny by making it a habit to rinse conditioner out with warm water and finish with a cool rinse. Cooler water will cause the hair cuticle to close, producing shinier hair.
Resolve to fight signs of aging by moisturizing every inch of your body daily. If skin is extra dry, try applying a body oil to damp skin before drying off after a bath or shower. This will help skin absorb the oil – leaving it baby soft. Use Neutrogena Hydro Boost Whipped Body Balm daily to boost hydration, helping improve the look and feel of dry skin. You may also like Neutrogena Body Oil – whisper-light formula that absorbs quickly, locking in moisture for soft, smooth skin.
Resolve to clean makeup tools regularly. Used brushes and sponges should be kept clean and dry at all times. Wash makeup applicators at least twice a week and allow them to air dry. Try Clinique makeup brush cleanser to remove makeup residue and help brushes last longer.
Resolve never to use beauty products past their expiration date. Even though beauty products can be expensive, using them past their expiration dates will often lead to unwanted problems. For example, once products have expired, bacteria may begin to grow inside your bottles and tubes resulting in unpleasant skin conditions.
Resolve to love your body and yourself and make 2019 your best year yet!
